I was browsing the amazing illustrations by Alberto Cerriteno when I noticed he now has a shop! Have I been blind and missed this before? In any case, these beautiful Giclee prints can be purchased for $99 - $150.

Erik Nordeneakar decided to get in touch with DHL to create the “biggest drawing in the world” and it is massive. Shipping a suitcase with a GPS device allowed Erik to plot it’s location and direct where the suitcase is shipped, allowing him to draw the route shaping into a self portrait. Pretty neat and creative.
Some of these people aren’t too shabby with photo manipulations… enough to make me uneasy!

Scott Hansen of ISO50 happens to be one of my favorite designers. His work has always caught my interest and inspired tons (easy to pick out other designers work inspired by his ideas). It’s was of no surprise to discover he was contacted to design a poster for Barack Obama. With all political views aside, the poster looks fantastic.

One page portfolio sites are my favorite approach designers use for their portfolio. This portfolio site by Sezuki Kenichi has some pretty interesting ideas for browsing his work and information about him. I believe it may be confusing for some people visiting the site for the first time, but the ideas there have potential for a cool viewing experience. Also, I can’t forget to mention that I love big, high in contrast, type and this has it in all the right places.

I have come across the portfolio site for London based design studio, Proud Creative, a few times before. Since my last viewing, they have added some new work, and I have to say that I like all the projects they showcase. I specifically enjoy the textures used in the Principal Voices project.

Your favorite source for t-shirts by designers have introduced Threadless prints today. You will now be able to purchase these nice posters which are reincarnations of previous winning t-shirt designs. I actually like the airy nature of these posters. Oh, and I must not forget to mention that these are limited editions. Only 250 prints each design!

On Monday, May 12th, Robert Rauschenberg died from heart failure at age 82. Rauschenberg was a wildly innovative artist showing his talent through various mediums. Rauschenberg was a sculpture, painter, photographer, print maker, stage performer, and more. He is most known and remembered for his combine art, which is a mix various art mediums, such as sculpture combined with paintings.
Though I never completely understood his art, he was a true inspiration to me throughout the years and his outlook on art taught me to open my eyes and create work that I believe in.

For quite some time now, FWIS has been creating the great paper cut outs that you can print out on any printer and build. Recently they created these very cool and colorful paper cameras for Corbis. I have yet to print one out, but I definitely plan on it!

The nice people at gestalten just sent me a book called Arabesque. It happens to display a logo I created back in the day. The book was created by the graphic design studio, eps51, in hopes to spread the word about the amazing graphics and typography of arabic and persian design.
Domo shows his excitement above.
